Pre-Dive Checks
Ikelite's signature open-groove design suspends the rear O-ring in a natural position, making it easier to maintain and more reliable than forcing the O-ring into a channel. Once the housing is closed, the O-ring forms a solid, waterproof seal that is visible through the back of the housing. Ikelite recommends using a pump with a gauge to pull a vacuum on the housing and check for leaks before entering the water.Construction
The housing is constructed from Ikelite’s specially formulated ABS-PC blend, providing high durability while being significantly lighter than aluminium. The light-coloured material helps keep the camera cooler when shooting in warm, sunny environments.Lens Support
Ikelite lens ports are among the lightest on the market, yet robust enough to withstand rough surf. The housing supports a wide variety of lenses. Most popular zoom lenses and select focus rings can be engaged using simple gearing, placing adjustments within easy reach. Zoom and focus gears vary depending on the lens being used. Lens ports and zoom gears are sold separately. Refer to the appropriate port chart for compatibility information.Wi-Fi Transfer
The camera's built-in Wi-Fi feature allows photos to be transferred to another device without removing the camera from the housing. The Wi-Fi function is only usable above water and within close proximity to the connected device.Compatibility
Unless otherwise stated, this housing does not accommodate the use of add-on grips, battery grips, eyepieces, LCD covers, or other accessories.
